Cookie Policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) used on the Linchpin blog. It follows the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 and, where it applies, the GDPR and ePrivacy rules. It works alongside our Privacy Policy and the notice on linchpin.co.ke.

What they are

Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage, do the same job. Some are needed for a site to work; others help us understand how it is used.

Strictly necessary (always on)

These cannot be switched off because the blog cannot work securely without them. We do not ask for consent for them.

  • Your cookie choice: stored by our cookie consent tool (CookieAdmin) to remember what you agreed to.
  • Spam protection: if you use the contact or subscription form, Cloudflare Turnstile may read or set technical data to check that you are a person. It is loaded only when you start using a form.
  • Staff sign-in: WordPress sets sign-in cookies only for people who log in to manage the blog. Visitors do not receive them.

Optional (only with your consent)

  • Analytics and performance: none are active at the moment. If we turn analytics on, it will run only after you accept it.
  • Advertising: we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Managing your choices

You can accept, reject or customise optional cookies in the cookie banner, and change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link on this site. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the blog may then not work as expected.

Your rights and contact

Your rights over personal data are described in our Privacy Policy. For questions, email [email protected].

Changes

If we change the cookies we use, we will update this page and the date above.
