The COVID-19 (also known as the novel coronavirus) has impacted the lives of people around the world. Travel restrictions and new rules on large public gatherings have changed the daily routines of millions. Considering this, Microsoft has made Teams available for everyone.

Microsoft Teams is the new hub for team files, conversations and meetings. All in one place, wherever you go. It’s part of Office 365. Learn more here [PDF 204KB].

If your company is licensed for Office 365, you already have it. But here is how to ensure you have access to it during this time:

  • If you have an e-mail address through work or school and with an Office 365 subscription, sign-in using this link. This will get you into Teams in no time.
  • If you’re using an e-mail address like Gmail or the free Outlook, you can sign up for the freemium version of Teams by following this link.

The self-service links work great for individuals, but if you want to roll out Teams for your business or organisation, here’s what to do:

  • If you work for a business that isn’t currently licensed for Teams, Microsoft’s got you covered with a free Office 365 E1 offer for six (6) months. Contact us to get you started right away on Teams.
  • If you work in education and want to set up teachers, students, and administrators on Teams, use Office 365 A1. This free version of Office 365 is available to all educational institutions. Sign up by following this link
  • In addition, the website www.successwithteams.com has additional resources to get you up and running on Teams.
